Italian trattoria on the jetty at d'Albora Marina

Chiosco sits out on the jetty at d'Albora Marina on The Spit, with Middle Harbour opening up on either side. It is the more relaxed of the two SRG rooms on this water — the same view, a lighter touch.

The cooking takes after Italy's coastal villages: pasta made by hand, seafood, and plates set down in the middle for everybody. There is a kiosk as well, for anyone who only wants a gelato or something to carry off.

Lunch is every day from 11.30 to 3. Dinner is Wednesday to Saturday from 5.30 and Sunday from 5, both finishing at 9.

Come at lunch when the boats are moving, or later when the water goes flat and dark.

Getting here

Chiosco is at d'Albora Marina, Spit Road, Mosman, about fifteen minutes from the city. Park inside the marina — the restaurant is a few steps along the wharf from there — or find metered street parking on Spit Road.

Buses come down Spit Road out of the city and off the North Shore. Water taxis can pull in at the marina.
